The Difference Between Good and Bad Inflammation

Inflammation is needed to repair problems in the body, but according to www.mercola.com, it is the regulation, or lack thereof, that causes problems with inflammation in our body. According to the author of the article, How Inflammation Effects Every Aspect of Your Health, by Dr. David Marquis, diseases that can be linked to inflammation include: allergies, Alzheimer’s, asthma, autism, arthritis, celiac, crohn’s, eczema, fibromyalgia, gall bladder, GERD, heart attack, kidney failure, psoriasis, and many other diseases. He goes on to say that the causes of inflammation include several things, such as diet, hormones, metabolic imbalance, stress, medications, etc.

In our western society, we often treat inflammation by providing medicine, which often has the ability to mask the symptoms. For some, that is the right choice. For others, they may want to dig a little deeper and try to eliminate the inflammation at the root of the cause.
