The movie, Burzynski, addresses the bigger issue, which is summarized in the movie as the concept that we have a “huge house” built on killing cancer. With Dr. Burzynski, his idea is that the house may need to be rebuilt. This movie also brings up an interesting concern that the cost to bring a cancer drug to market is extensive. $1.4 million per cancer drug submitted to the FDA. Then PhRMA has also imposed fees onto the FDA. Pharmaceutical companies have been able to speed up the time for review. Is this because they are paying additional fees to have their drugs looked at quicker?
