One of my best friends in the early 1990’s was diagnosed with brain cancer. She went through several brain surgeries, as well as doing experimental treatment out in Texas. I do not remember whom the experimental treatment was provided by, but I know she lived longer than the doctors had expected. She went through tough times and okay times. She brought us much love, laughter, and kindness. When I watched this movie, Burzynski, it reminded me of her situation. I wondered if maybe this was where she had her “experimental” treatment. I was intrigued by this story. I was saddened by the effort to shut him down and stop him, instead of learning from him and embracing what looked like it could help many.
