What’s All the Buzz About Alkalizing Your Body?

I have seen studies that say up to 95% of disease happens in an acidic body, and disease can’t live in an alkalized body. It is my understanding that the things that can cause a more acidic balance in our bodies include processed foods; meat, diary, stress and the things that can cause a more alkalized balance in our body include green foods and a plant-based diet.  According to Wayne Pickering, A Natural Living Activist, some of the alkaline foods include: avocados, coconut, almonds, spinach, kale, celery, broccoli, cucumber, and so much more.

According to Dr. Richard Dicenso, in an article on shapefit.com, Body Acidity — Problems Caused When Your Body is Too Acidic, explains that when the body produces acid, which should be eliminated every 24 hours when the body is working efficiently. When the body produces too much acid, or doesn’t eliminate or work efficiently, that is when our bodies end up with a more acidic balance.

A friend I met at the Purium convention, Buffy, was telling me her mother had been diagnosed with cancer. They chose to deal with it both traditionally, and naturally. She highly recommended the book, Alkalize or Die: Superior Health Through Proper Alkaline-Acid Balance by Theodore Baroody.
