Independence Day can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. The question we want you to think about, really think about, is this: What does “independence” mean with your health? Do you go along taking your health—and illness—in stride? Do you listen only to the doctors (which have a lot of good to share)? Or—do you realize that you have some control over the state of your health? Some “independence”?
Now, if you are going through a health challenge right now, or if you have lost someone to a health crisis, please do not misunderstand us. What we want to do is empower you to “think outside the box.” What questions are you asking? Are you taking an active role in learning what you can about the many things that contribute to the state of our health?
In the “holistic” or “complementary” or “alternative” worlds there are many modalities that people have used, some very successfully. Traditional medicine may say, “there isn’t enough proof” and for some, maybe there isn’t. Where we want to encourage you is to ask questions, do your own research, and find the path that works for you in improving, or maintaining your health. When you feel you have a choice that gives you true “independence” in your health.
