The movie, Veducated, goes on to say that it takes 15 tries of taste before you like a food. There are many vegan foods – like carrot cake, butternut lemon sauce, etc. They recommend it is best to buy local and buy organic. They make the claim that 95 lives a year are saved by going vegan. I am not sure how they track this.
If someone goes vegan, it is usually the first week or two that is the most difficult because the body needs to get use to it. For people that are concerned about the need for protein, there are many sources, including some green vegetables, which have protein. For example, I never realized broccoli had protein.
