“Above the Clamor-ATC” by Betty Norlin

A friend recently complimented me on the ability to “rise above the clamor.” First, I don’t see that in myself. I, like probably many of you, feel there are so many distractions, so many things to do, so many priorities. Yet, when my friend shared this with me, I decided, “this was my year to “ATC”—rise “above the clamor,” “above the chaos,” “above the craziness” that this world can sometimes throw at us.” As I write this, I think, if something—or someone—is “throwing” something at us, isn’t it really our choice to catch it…or not? I guess that really boils down to awareness and intention. So, are you going to intentionally “rise above the clamor” this year? Are you going to join me as an “ATC” year, as an “ATC” promise to yourself, as an “ATC” commitment to others? What will your year look like? It all begins with awareness and intention.
