The movie, Farmageddon, claims that all major food borne illnesses come from the large processing plants. They ask why seeds that are genetically modified don’t need to be labeled, but that every seed that is GMO free should be labeled. In essence, the thought behind this question is that it is much more costly to produce natural healthy food products from the land than products that are processed on a big-business level. Why is that and does it serve the consumer in the best way possible? There are many taxes to do farming now a days, making it much more difficult for the “little family farm” to survive. Some of the people interviewed in this movie bring up that they resent the amount of work to be “certified organic” and they believe people should be able to get clean food.
