The movie, Farmageddon, summarizes, that in their opinion our government is out to regulate everything we do regarding our food supply. They made enough points to make me consider that they may have a point.
Some of the claims the movie makes are that Congress is out to regulate everything, everyone and that the FDA searches anything done that is not science-based, petroleum, cloning, etc. They also bring up that there are political, social, and societal pressures that regulators have when they interact with companies they regulate.
